Brightspot Market 10thCreative industries are the future of Indonesia. This statement is so optimistic but I think it is not impossible even we have a minister of creative industries which they are only 2 in the world, i.e. UK and Indonesia. Indonesian youth are very powerful and unsurprisingly, the majority of our population is youth. They are full of energy, idea and very consumptive 🙂

One of the reasons that Indonesian economic situation is quite steady (the economic growth still positive, like China) during the 2008 global crisis is the power of domestic market, which is the middle income class, particularly Indonesian youth.  That is the reason behind the success of this market. Brightspot market is the best market displaying the Indonesian creative products (even though not 100% local product, but at least the most stuffs here are locals).

I think it is really reasonable that this kind of youth or generation is called the Brightspot Generation 😉

Union is one of the most popular hangouts in Jakarta. It is located in the heart of Jakarta, which is Senayan, South Jakarta. This restaurant is located inside of the luxurious mall, Plaza Senayan, particularly inside Sogo Dept. Store. I really like the style of this restaurant, even though now it is very common type of interior design you find at a new cafe or restaurant in jakarta. However, they make it really nice and classy. I fallin love with their uniform 🙂

I highly recommend this place if you visit Jakarta, but you may need to wait for 30-60 minutes if you just come without reservation. The food is not that fantastic, but you may enjoy the ambience. The must ordered one is the Red Velvet, it is really nice, not to sweet and covered with peanuts. Perfect for dessert. This cake is the one that makes this restaurant become famous. So, you have to try it 🙂

Nanny’s Pavillon

the nanny epicIndonesia is not only Jakarta and Bali. We have Bandung !! Bandung is a creative city, the most creative city in Indonesia 😉 In my opinion there are 4 creative cities in Indonesia, first Bandung, second Jakarta, third Jogjakarta, and fourth Bali. When you visit Bandung, you will feel the atmosphere of youth, creativity, and hospitality 🙂 (and it’s also well-known that Bandung girls are beautiful).

I am not from Bandung, but I love Bandung and I would like to introduce Bandung to every people in this world, and through internet I try to give my little contribution for Bandung. I would be really grateful if somebody from Bandung can make a blog like this using the name “Good Morning Bandung”. I will give my permission of my logo to that person, because I cannot update or post the very recent hang out place in Bandung (since I am not living in Bandung).

Ooopps I forget to review this restaurant 😛 This restaurant has been established in Bandung, and in the last recent years, they open in their branch in Jakarta also which I posted in this blog few months ago.

If you’re in Indonesia, come n visit Bandung, and you will enjoy the culinary and creativity experience there 😉
